AST has been in operation since 1991. The company is based in Barka and operates throughout the Sultanate. We are one of the leading companies in Water Well Drilling, laying pipe lines and Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD)/Thrust Boring since 1991. We have taken regularly undertaking projects in water well drilling works/HDD (Thrust Boring)/ Road Marking all over the Sultanate. We have been completed major jobs for TOCO, AL ANSARI, LARSON & TOUBRO, NCCI, C.C.C., ROYAL COURT AFFAIRS, PAEW Royal Oman Police and various MINISTRIES ETC…
AST providing its services in dealing with “Horizontal Directional Drilling”works by modern types and technologies, capable to work in rock areas even though if it is in hard rock and the sand areas. We can lay steel pipes as well as HDPE plastic pipes from 6” to 32” under asphalt road by thrust boring (Pipe jacking and/or Pipe ramming) method. At present we have to complete set of self-sufficient mobile Pipe Ramming unit and complete set of self-sufficient mobile Pipe Jacking Unit with experienced crews’ staff.

Our facilities
Our facilities are spread over various locations at Barka, Barka-Sannayya, and Al Hafri with spacious office at Barka, well equipped production facilities, storage areas, Work shop and garage all totaling over 12,100 sq. meters.
We have a fleet of over 5 numbers of construction Rig plant,2 HDD Machines, 2 Road Marking Machines, equipment, and one low bed trailer to mobilize Rigs, 3 hiabs and other necessary vehicles, and are authorized by PDO to certify road worthiness of vehicles.
